Our Story
We are Matt & Marie, a husband and wife duo, partners in travel, parenthood and creative ventures.
We are currently dwelling in Georgetown, Ontario.
We believe that moments soon become memories, and memories should be captured. To us, photographs capture all the simple seconds' in-between, the momentous occasions and life as it presently unfolds.
We are happy you have come across our work and we would love to hear from you.
Both Matt and Marie started out on film. Our early joint creative sessions were often of each other and our friends. Matt still takes photos on film around the house.

Matt's Opa was also a photographer throughout his life, and gave Matt his camera collection.

We both live a plant-based lifestyle and try to live our lives as best we can with compassion.
Marie's niece Riley was her first photography subject and where her interest in child portraiture developed from.
We have been so fortunate to travel and explore with one another, giving us the opportunities to live in four different countries across three continents.
Matt's passion for photography started with landscape and cityscapes.
The image on the left was taken on a journey through New Zealand in 2005 and the Image on the right is of the Grand Canyon's Horseshoe Bend, which was on Matt's photography bucket list.
We spent most of our twenties as partners.
Our journey was not always straight and at times we took our own separate paths. It was nine years later when we got engaged on the same beach we visited in our beginning. Eleven years into our relationship is when we walked down the aisle under a pouring sky on a beautiful beach in Barbados.

Over the past few years we have embarked on our greatest adventure with starting a family. And it is about to grow by two more heartbeats as we get ready to welcome twins.

We Proudly Support:
Dreams Take Flight Toronto:
Dreams Take Flight is a national non-profit organization consisting of volunteer Air Canada employees and community volunteers dedicated to providing the trip-of-a-lifetime to medically, mentally, physically, socially or emotionally challenged children. The local sponsors and volunteers believe that we can make a major difference in these children’s lives by opening a window of possibilities without limitations.
Dreams Take Flight took wing in 1989, when a group of Air Canada employees in Toronto organized a trip that took 70 special needs children on board a DC-9 aircraft to Walt Disney World in Florida.
Fast forward to 1997, when the charity expanded to service eight cities across this great country; Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax each take a plane load of deserving kids to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World for a once in a life time adventure.
By the end of this year, Dreams Take Flight will have taken over 25,000 children to the happiest place on earth – the Magic Kingdom in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. There, they experience the wonder of friendship and magic. Our goal is to help them forget their troubles for one incredible day and to provide them with a lifetime of memories.
Boot Campaign Canada:
Boot Campaign Canada is an extension of the highly successful USA Boot Campaign and is a fundraising initiative whose programs aim to support our Canadian Armed Forces and First Responders. The original Boot Campaign was launched by five Texas women in 2009 and was designed to support military troops returning home from combat operations around the world. They were humbled by the book ‘Lone Survivor’ by Marcus Luttrell, a retired US Navy SEAL with numerous combat operations. Marcus was in turn inspired by the founders of Boot Campaign and has generously supported the project. The exciting twist on the Canadian campaign is that its dedicated mission is to provide support and assistance to Police, Fire and EMS personnel as well as the military.
The School Sessions:
In early 2015, The School Sessions began with a goal of 215,000 – to purchase land and build a new school. And for the last 2 years, PHOTOGRAPHERS AROUND THE WORLD have volunteered portrait sessions during the month of April, WITH EVERY SESSION FEE being donated TO THE SCHOOL SESSIONS.
